Mary-Kate Olsen Does Harper’s Bazaar
One of our favorite it-girls, Mary Kate Olsen, appears in the October 2007 issue of Harper’s Bazaar. She is wearing a weird red wig in some of the photos.
Um, no. That wig does not look good on her - adds like 10 years to her age.
However, the photo shoot in general was quite interesting, although… odd.

i think it’s a cool fashion shoot. however i’m not sure how much it shows her off. she (and her sis) are gorgeous but esp on the cover it’s not coming across very well. seems like they could’ve got a better cover shot

the shoot is inspired by the electic cult-film “grey gardens”…if you watch that film (which is actually a documentary about the reclusive cousins of jackie-o) it makes much more sense. they are comparing mary-kate to little edie beale, who was a fashion eclectic and very whimsical…a lot like mary-kate.
